Dubai being a coastal, low lying city would have a major problem when it would come to Telescopes - The Dust. the UAE is a desert, and the levels of atmospheric dust is very high, conventional telescopes won't work.
It unfortunately doesn't have an observatory, or a public space center. I'm sure that where will be government radio telescopes but none the public have heard about, and no large scale ones to my knowledge.
thanks a lot for the information. I understand, thats a pity with the dust. I'm sure if dubai wants something, they would get it... well perhaps they have a great telescope satelite like the us hubble in space... if it's such a great problem with the atmospheric dust.

but do u know if dubai or the uae has a space center, telescopes or radio telecopes?
Well dubai is one of the biggest and impressivst looking citys of the world. So I thought they would have one of the biggest radio telescopes aswell.
